    Membership Benefits

Founded in 1938, FPRA is one of the nation's oldest societies of public relations professionals. Today, nearly 1,500 men and women unite in the common cause of enhancing and promoting the public relations profession.

FPRA provides a variety of services, benefits and opportunities. It is dedicated to programs and activities which enhance the success of the public relations professional. The association functions on two levels-services and programs dedicated toward improving the professional competence of the individual public relations person and programs which benefit the entire profession.

Membership in FPRA is a sound professional investment. The association offers many programs and services, including ...

  • Three ongoing publications:

INFOfax is a bimonthly publication of FPRA, featuring information presented in a short, quick-read format. INFOfax is broadcast faxed to all FPRA members and mailed to members who do not have fax capability.

FPRA White Paper is a bi-monthly publication that features timely case studies and professional development articles.

FPRA's Annual Membership Directory is an invaluable networking resource.

  • Continuing Education. FPRA sponsors continuing education programs affording members the opportunity to develop their professionalism to the highest degree.
  • Professional Accreditation and Certification. These programs are designed to offer FPRA members the opportunity to achieve the internationally recognized ranks of Accredited Public Relations (APR) and Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC).
  • Monthly Meetings. Local chapters meet monthly to hear timely speakers, exchange career experiences and conduct general business.
  • Annual Conference. The conference offers members the opportunity to stay in touch with professionals from throughout the nation, stay current on activities and events which have an effect on the profession and to enjoy the fellowship of other professionals.
  • Awards Programs. FPRA's Golden Image Awards program is conducted once annually and recognizes outstanding public relations actvities in Florida.
