Accredited in Public Relations (APR)
is a mark of distinction for public relations professionals who
demonstrate their commitment to the profession and to its ethical
practice. Candidates earn accreditation based on broad knowledge,
strategic perspective and sound professional judgment.
The Orlando Area Chapter of FPRA will offer two APR prep groups for
2009-2010, one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall group
will kick off the one-hour study sessions with a Q&A session at 6
p.m. on Tuesday, September 1 at the Florida Fruit and
Vegetable Association, 800 Trafalgar Court, Suite 200, Maitland.
This meeting will offer an overview of the APR accreditation process
and offer you the opportunity to quiz recently accredited colleagues
about their experience.
Study sessions will begin the following week and follow an eight
session syllabus designed around the 2008 UAB Study Guide.
Participants will complete the Readiness Review in November and can
take the computer-based exam when ready in either December or
January (or anytime before Sept. 2010). Please contact our chapter

This interactive online multimedia course is designed to help APR –
Accreditation in Public Relations, candidates prepare for the APR
Examination. Course content, geared toward the knowledge, skills and
abilities measured during the Examination, is presented through a
variety of interactive methods, including multimedia module
introductions, asynchronous activities, case study analysis,
projects, directed discussions, self-correcting quizzes and
simulations. It provides opportunities for self-study, collaboration
and teamwork.
The Fall Cohort Group starts on Tuesday, September 1 at 8PM Eastern.
