MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEONS

Monthly membership luncheons feature guest speakers from all aspects of public relations and marketing. The luncheons also provide members the opportunity to network with other professionals. Topics include: media relations, case studies, crisis communications, special event planning, best practices, and others.

IMAGE AWARDS
The Image Awards competition is conducted annually by FPRA's Orlando Area Chapter to recognize outstanding public relations programs in Central Florida and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism. The Image Awards have become a standard of public relations excellence. The awards competition includes four divisions of entries: Public Relations Programs, Printed Tools of Public Relations, Audio/Visual Tools of Public Relations and Student Projects in Public Relations. Awards are presented at an evening celebration each April and an Outstanding Public Relations Professional is also honored at the conclusion of the program. The program is modeled after and leads up to the statewide Golden Image Awards competition held on a state level.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

An annual program for PR practitioners of all levels. Top professionals in the field of public relations will share their insights and experience in a forum where members can sharpen their PR skills, learn new strategies and network with peers.

ROAST & TOAST
This fundraiser is the largest annual event that the Florida Public Relations Association's Orlando Area Chapter hosts. For the past 24 years, FPRA has chosen outstanding members of the local community to be the target of good-hearted jabs, jokes and stories to raise scholarship funds for the communication programs at the University of Central Florida and Rollins College. Thanks to the generous support of our community, to date we have raised over $500,000 and are providing future leaders of this community greatly needed and deserved financial support.

MEDIA ROUNDTABLE LUNCHEON EVENT
Designed to help cultivate media relations, an interactive roundtable program gives public relations and marketing professionals time to meet with media representatives in small, group settings. Local television stations, newspapers and magazines participate by sending reporters, editors and producers to offer valuable insight, advice and tips for getting your story to the right people. This half-day event also features a keynote luncheon speaker.

BOSSES BREAKFAST
Bosses Breakfast is a meeting of experienced professionals who manage other professionals and/or provide public relations counsel. The event is designed to offer advice on topics of special interest, and provide a forum for idea  exchange and networking.
